Contest Descriptions

Transformers Trading Card Game
12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. (tutorial)	West Gym (TCG Area)
1:30 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. (registration)
3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (tournament)

Format
- Two-Pack Sealed Turbo Mode
- Single elimination Tournament
- All ages welcome
- Judges will be on hand to help facilitate and answer questions as needed
Rules
- Open two Transformers TCG Booster Packs
- Use the two characters you opened as your team, even if they’re the same character or have a total of more than 25 stars
- Shuffle all the battle cards from your two packs together to form your 14-card deck
- Start with an opening hand of 1 card, not the usual 3
- The player with the fewest total stars on their team goes first
- Before the first turn, count the difference in total stars between the two teams. The player with the most total stars puts damage counters on their characters equal to that difference.
Pre-registration
- Pre-register at the TCG tournament area between 1:30pm and 3:00 pm or at the Toy Box Heroes booth in the dealer room at any time
- Space is limited. First come first served.
Cost
- $10 gets you a seat in the tournament
- Tournament participants will receive
  - 2 pre-constructed booster packs (3 random themed Character cards, 2 sealed battle card packs, 4 dice counters)
  - 1 sealed battle pack after each round
Prizes
- Every player eliminated in the first round will receive 1, Wave 3 booster pack for participating
- Round 2 will get 2 packs
- Round 3 will get 3 packs
- Runner up will get 4 packs and a Transformers toy
- The overall winner will get 6 packs and 1 boxed, loose Masterpiece Transformer ($150+ value) as the grand prize

Rules
- The contest will be conducted at the Organizers table during the contest window
- Contestants can come to the Organizers table any time during the contest window
- All contestants will be photographed and entered into the contest
- The entries will be judged and the winner announced after the contest window ends

Transforming
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.	West Gym (Open Seating)

2 divisions: Adults (13+) and Kids (under 13)
Format
- 1-on-1 matches
- Single-elimination tournament
- Fastest time wins
Rules
- All contestants will be provided with the the same figure for the contest
- Both contestants will start with the figure in the same mode (either robot or vehicle)
- When the officiant gives the signal to start, both contestants compete to transform the figure to the other mode as quickly as possible
- The winner is the first to fully convert the figure to the other mode, as depicted in the instructions, and stand steady on the table without touching the figure

Trivia

Format
- Solo competition
- Multiple rounds
- Highest score wins
Rules
- The format of the challenges will be revealed at the start of the contest
- Control will transfer between the participants as dictated by the officiant
- The winner will be the player with the most points at the end of the final round

- 2 divisions: Adults (13+) and Kids (under 13)
- Submissions created before and brought to the show
- All media accepted (Traditional and Digital, 2-D and 3-D)
- Judged
Rules
- All entries must be submitted at the Organizers table before the beginning of the judging window
- The entries will be judged and the winner announced after the contest window ends
- Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
  - Originality-How unique is your creation?
  - Execution- How finished is your piece?
