Contest Descriptions

BYOB (Bring Your Own Bot) Transforming

• 2 divisions: Adults (13+) and Kids (under 13)
• Format
  • Solo competition
  • Contestants bring their own figures
  • Judged
• Prizes
  • Best Overall
  • Best Style
  • Best Complexity
  • Best Speed
• Rules
  • Contestants bring their own figures, up to 6 individuals figures per contestant (e.g. if demonstrating a team of bots)
  • Contestants can choose which way to transform their figure (bot to alt, alt to bot, both, triple-changing, etc.)
  • Contestants will have a time limit of 7 minutes
  • Contestants will be judged on the following criteria:
    • Speed
      • Was the figure transformed quickly or at a slower pace?
    • Complexity
      • Was the figure's transformation simple or complex?
      • Did the contestant struggle with the transformation at all?
    • Style
      • Was the transformation entertaining to watch?
      • How was the contestant's showmanship?
  • For tie breaking, the priority will Style > Complexity > Speed

  • The format of the challenges will be revealed at the start of the contest
  • Control will transfer between the participants as dictated by the officiant
  • The winner will be the team with the most points at the end of the final round
