The schedule for CybFest NW 2021 has been finalized and is now available. This lists when the Trivia Contest and BYOB (Bring Your Own Bot) Transforming Contestsf will be held as well as the raffle. After the raffle, Mike Seibert will be joining us for another live recording of the Mike Seibert Radio Podcast, so be sure to stick around for some great Transformers discussion.

If you want step outside the Dealer Room at some point during the day, that would be a great opportunity to come and meet Bumblebee who will be joining us again this year along with his human adviser, Scott Hanline. Come meet Bumblebee in the Kent Commons parking lot outside the Green River Room from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (see the location map here).

Just like its predecessor CybCon, contests are a big part of CybFest NW. Even though the scope of the show is smaller this year, we are excited to be continuing the tradition of our Trivia and Transforming Contests this year.

As with most years, the Trivia Contest will be a team competition, though the exact format of the competition will not be revealed until the day of the show. It will cover a wide variety of topics, so be sure to study up on your toys, cartoons, comics, history, and everything else Transformers before the show.

We really didn't want to have CybFest NW without a Transforming Contest, but the traditional format didn't seem wise given the current health-conscious environment. However, we have come up with a new format that we are very excited to try this year: BYOB (Bring Your Own Bot). To be a contestant, just select a Transformers figure from your collection (or even a set of up to 6 figures if, say, you want to do a combiner) and come prepared to impress us with your transforming skills. You can choose any transformation direction (bot to alt, alt to bot, both, triple-changing, etc.) as long as you can complete it within the 7-minute time limit. Our panel of judges will rate each contestant on Speed and Complexity, but don't think that simply transforming a Masterpiece figure quickly will guarantee victory. Showmanship is important, so the judges will also be rating contestants on Style, and this will be the deciding factor for breaking ties. We can't wait to see everyone's creativity in action here, so start planning now how you are going to wow everyone!

If you are interested in participating, be sure to review all the contest details here. Also, don't forget to pre-register now if you haven't done so already. Registration closes tomorrow, August 31.

We would like to thank everyone for their patience in our delay announcing our plans for CybFest NW 2021. We needed to hold off until the pandemic restrictions had been reliably lifted before beginning to lock down our plans. That wait is finally over.

Last year was tough on a lot of people, and we really missed seeing everyone in person at CybFest NW 2020. However, we thank everyone for the great support of our virtual event last year. The response and engagement were beyond what we expected, and we look forward to leveraging that virtual platform more in the future. That said, and without further ado, we are excited to announce that CybFest NW 2021 will take place IN PERSON on September 11 at the Kent Commons Community Center.

CybFest NW has always been about the fans and bringing together the local Transformers community, but this year will be especially focused on bringing the community together again. There will be some changes to this year's show such as adjustments to our traditional contests to be more health-conscious and a cut to our dealer table prices. We will also be donating most of the show's income this year to FDNY Foundation and Valley Medical Center as a thank you to first responders. Click here to see our full press release.
